Pro 1-2
Jon Atkinsage 47:  Jonny is a multi state and Georgia games champion.   Raced as a professional from 1998 - 2001 riding for Cox, Zaxby's and Reality bikes all while working full time for Delta airlines and IBM.  Formally a lead out man for the sprints, now considered to be an all a rounder winning several one day races and multi day races.  Victories  in 2011 include pro omnium in Brooks/ Senioa and Piedmont Alabama.  Jonny is concentrating on teaching and mentoring new riders in cycling.

Lee Showers 39 former member of UPS elite track cycling team which placed 2nd in the 96 Olympic trials. Multi time Georgia state Championship podium finishers, number 1 rated master in the state of Georgia 2010.   14th rated master in the nation 2010 all the while working for FedEx for the last 17 yrs.

Issac Strickland age 32: lives in Newnan, Ga with his wife, Melanie and 5 year old daughter, Lola.  He is in his 7th year of teaching at Madras Middle School.  He is also the girls’ soccer coach at Madras and Newnan High School.  He began racing bikes in 2005 when he managed Senoia Speedway and a local bike shop started using the racetrack for training.  Each year, his interest grew and he is now a Category 2 racer.  He has won 9 races over the past 3 seasons along with many podiums and top 10 finishes.  It has been exciting racing in the Pro 1/2 races this year where the speed and the competition is the fastest and the best.  He is looking forward to continuing his success in the future with Beck Cycling Team. 

Cat 3
Curtis Strangeage 31: Curtis began racing in 2009. He is a sprinter and out of 18 career races
he has managed  12 top 5 finishes.  Originally from Tennessee, Curtis is the father of  two and  serves
as the Associate Pastor to Students at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA.  He also serves as team
the team chaplin.

Cat 4
Dan Busch started road cycling in 2009 and road racing in 2010.  As a Cat 5, Dan won the Georgia State Criterium Championship and earned four other top 5 results, including 2 podium finishes. As a Cat 4, Dan has earned five top 5 results including 2 podium finishes and is looking forward to upgrading to Cat 3 early in the 2012 season. Dan served as a U.S. Marine before graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler where he earned a degree in finance and is employed by AIG. Dan lives in Brooks, GA with his wife Tina, and daughter Rachel.



Ryan Brooks age 39: A former tri athelete and marathon runner who took up bike racing in 2011. Started in category 5 then quickly progressed to category 4 after placing in the top 5 of the first 6 events entered. From Newnan, Georgia he graduated from Auburn University. He resides in Newnan with his wife Alexis and their two sons Drew 8 and Mac 6.

Keith Slaughter age 46 Keith is a Fayette County native who started racing bicycles in 1992 with 2 race wins and several top 10 finishes to his credit. After taking time away from cycling in 1994 to get married and raise two beautiful girls, Keith has returned to cycling in 2011 with a 6th place criterium finish and a 3rd place finish in his first triathlon. Keith is a member of Dogwood church and manages Tyrone Outdoor Power Equipment in Tyrone,Ga.

Jed Wible age 38 Ex junior racer from the 80s.  I grew up in Virginia and fell in love with cycling during the John Tesch Sunday Tour De France summaries of the mid 80s.  I first started racing at the age of 14 and was turned away from a few races as the insurance didn’t cover anyone under 18.  By the time college came around I wasn’t riding competitively anymore.  As a Cat IV and still trying to regain the form I keep telling myself I had in my youth.  Circuit races and Cyclocross seem to be my strong points but I’m still determined to cat up to a III via points earned in crits.
